Ways You Can Help

DONATIONS

TurtleDonations help Animal Junction continue its purpose and mission. The proceeds from our programs presently do not cover all the expenses incurred at our facility, and we are truly grateful to our sponsors who have donated monetary and in-kind gifts, supplies, time or other assistance. Your donations will not only help us offset the costs of caring for and feeding our animals, but will also help provide public educational programs and help to save wildlife.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

  • Find an animal a good home.
If you know of an exotic animal that needs a home, please contact us. Many of our adopted animals are unwanted pets or illegal exotic pets confiscated by the Pennsylvania Fish and Game Commission. We are happy to ensure the health and safety of such animals.
  • Donate goods.
If you have extra food or supplies that you can share, please let us know. We can always use items such as:

    • Sani-Chips Aspen Bedding
    • Alfalfa hay
    • Innova dog food
    • Frozen vegetables
    • Fresh fruits (e.g., apples and bananas)
    • Fresh vegetables (e.g., sweet potatoes and romaine lettuce)
  • Donate money.
We are continuously expanding our family of animal ambassadors. All show proceeds and donations are applied to caring for the animals, ensuring that they all have spacious homes, nutritional zoological diets, a schedule of proper veterinary care and daily enrichment and socialization activities. You can contribute by mailing a check OR paying by credit card. Simply click the button below.

  • Donate services or time.
We know how precious time is, and we would greatly appreciate any contribution that you can offer. If you would enjoy the rich experience of working with animals, training for our animal programs and working flexible and fulfilling hours, then investigate our VIP Deputy program.

VIP Deputy

This volunteer internship provides an opportunity for learning skills in working with animals, animal care and husbandry, outreach programs, daily animal maintenance, public relations and more. A VIP Deputy must be willing and able to work with people and the public. We require a minimum of 14 hours per week as well as a minimum 3-month commitment to be eligible for the intern program. We are looking for local interns/volunteers who may continue to use their newly learned skills after their VIP program has concluded. Also, part-time work opportunities may be available for interns/volunteers after completing their internship.
